Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan indicate that tourism revenues increased by 34.2% during April 2025, reaching $710.3 million, and by 15.3% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching $2,427.4 million. This increase is due to a 19% increase in the number of tourists. The data shows a 7.5% increase in tourism revenues from all nationalities, including Jordanian expatriates (20.7%), European nationalities (20.5%), Americans (20.5%), Arabs (15.6%), and other nationalities (38.2%).
The data also showed a 6.5% increase in tourism spending abroad during April 2025, reaching $155.4 million. This increase continued during the first quarter of 2025, recording a 12.8% increase, reaching $646.0 million.
On another hand, remittances from Jordanian expatriates to the Kingdom increased by 5.2% during March 2025, reaching $283.4 million, and by 3.0% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching $889.1 million.
