The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) warns all citizens against interacting with any suspicious links or communications that request personal information such as the national ID or financials information for the purposes of updating the electronic wallet, or making any financial transaction.
The CBJ emphasized that the verification code is for the user only and should not be shared with any other party.
The Central Bank noted that financial service providers do not communicate by phone with customers to ask any financial or personal information, and if any problem happened related to this, “we invite citizens to communicate with the e-wallet companies they deal with, by visiting the nearest branch, or contacting the official customer service center located on the company’s website, and in the event that there is no response, please contact the Central Bank of Jordan / Financial Consumer Protection Department.
